with some one like woods looking after the team you may find this is just the start of local conference players making the move
as said haven must get into the likes of the brow (league/play off winners) and the mont (league and national cup finalists and in the next round round of challenge cup) before charlo gets to them.

Absolutely imperative making links with Brow and Mont .and kells l.... .we have LJ , Smith  Rob there who have close links wiith Haven and Seeds ....it should be a number one priority  of the club.  There are enough decent players there to make Haven competivie for the next decade.

We should be sending our best players down there to do training sessions and coaches its fundemental  to the future of the club.  Number one priority.


Other than fat man ...at Town..they'd have no links with Brow , Kells and Egremont...yet these teams  posses the huge amounts of quality players for the future of semi pro rugby in Whitehaven...it's an absolute no brainer.

Think you will find that Charlo has very good links with both Egremont & Brow and doesn’t miss many of the home games, he is also mates with Peter Smith, I’m not sure that we already haven’t got good links with all the said clubs but if a player is happy playing amateur what can you do, at the end of the day we don’t want to recruit players from the local clubs that aren’t fully committed in turning semi pro, Dave Woods has already spoken to a lot of the local clubs individually and offered his services if they want. The last thing we don’t want to be doing is trying to push ourselves into the local clubs.
