As was the Royal Standard, (at one time the only venue that Arthur Askey was booed off) but look at it now !

The building should stay. It doesnt have to be a pub. Surely it could be used in some other way. Why knock it down?

If thats the logic we are working by then lets knock Mirehouse, Woodhouse and Greenbank down whilst we're at it.

well you know half of greenbank was knocked down a few years back and unless your head was somewhere else you would know for years the dusty was the local drug den and that was common knowledge amongst the saddos like mesel who spend a lot of their spare time drinking in the locals
