The mouldering scum and his cahoots  should be slow tortured everyday whilst they are in prison. They have showed no remorse and deserve everything that's coming to them  :witch:

I've spent the last half hour or so reading stories about this situation...and I'm stunned.

I must admit I am against the death penalty, but this man deserves to be in prison, hopefully in the general population...but the mother??? Only 17 years??? How can anyone look at the photos of those young faces and believe that 17 years (and as I understand it she only HAS to serve half of that) is enough?

Thank you for the link Ariel though this will bother me for the rest of the evening.

I'd usually agree with you on them ending their lives. However on this occasion I wish to see them suffer everyday they have left on this planet.

George Osbourne is quite right too, to link this case to the welfare state, or the abuse of it.
That deviant monster didn't care about those kids, he just wanted the money and the bigger house, hell, if one woman can't breed quickly enough, then why not employ two?
Its a bit like that other product of the welfare state, Karen Matthews from Dewsbury, that household and that estate shocked the country, and sadly, we all know families like that everywhere, theres enough of them in Runcorn.

Hang on a minute, look a little closely at you Gideon Osborne and he has fiddled the tax payer more than anybody on benefits.

In your world are all lorry drivers like Peter Sutcliffe, GP's like Harold Shipman, or taxi drivers are Derrick Bird's.

Not everyone on benefits is tht scum from derby.  :witch:

No pal, theres something wrong when someone can come up with a diabolical plan like that, Lets breed dozens of kids, we will get thousands of pounds and a countryside mansion, one woman can't breed quickly enough, lets employ two, hold on, half the kids have left for good, the game is up, no time to breed any more, it's all over, might as well ' scrap the rest of it', it was only about the money.
Theres a family on our estate Recre, which is one of the worst in Runcorn, and she is a single mother with about ten kids, all fathered by different people, and they have been brought up with drugs in the household, probably more of a Karen Matthews, than a Mick Philpott, but theres not that much difference.
Anyway, the kids welfare is not paramount, otherwise she would'nt have so many in cramped, unmanageable conditions, and the kids are left to roam the estate, terrorising decent tenants, people who pay the taxes to sustain those sort of families, they wear hoods, and the eldest in now in prison doing eighteen months for drugs offences at the age of seventeen.
I have seen him involved in a samurai sword incident too, and you can't tell me that it wasn't all started by the mother having far too many children for a livelihood, because she is workshy, they all live in squalor, and are indoctrinated with crime and drugs, and the rest of the estate suffers as a consequence.
No doubt the socialists will say they are vulnerable, and several members of the nanny state will in their turn, try to make a living out of them, the whole things insane, and i'm sure there are families like that everywhere, Philpott is just an extreme example.

I was in the pub last night, Da Do Ron Ron came up the jukebox.... Phil Spector... bloody genius, worth millions......... he's a murderer (I put the word 'too' there, but then it does need pointed out that three were convicted of manslaughter and did not intend to kill those kids).

Or there's the three examples given in the post above. Actually, it could be argued that all three of those professions were contributory factors to the crimes (I'm not trying to be funny here!) just like abatoir worker might be (recent murder at Great Orton). But that is life...

Anyhow, the thing is, Osborne himself did not link the lifestyle to the crime (probably hasn't got the brains to work it through) - he simply used it as a platform to question why the taxpayer should fund lifestyles such as Philpott's. I think that is extremely cynical and in bad-taste and will ultimately rebound on the Chancellor and the rest of the Tory shambles.

The analogy with the welfare state is way off Beermatt, I know a few as they are called "scroungers" and as posted above they would never dream of doing any ill to anyone, a bit of fiddle yes but harming kids never. I like Mrs.R do not believe in the death penalty [in one sense it's too good for them] they should all have got life [like Hindley and Brady] and the judge should have said life to the end of their days, no remission, and they should be kept secure so that they have a long time to suffer for what they did. In this case Sean I think the state has to stump up. Lets not lose sight of the fact that these people are NOT representative of the vast overwhelming great British public. They are in some ways freaks.
