It  seems  Widnes  only  have  enough  funds  to  pay  their  players  for  the  next  8-10  weeks.  This  appears  to  be  down  to  their  directors  putting  150K  into  the  club.  After  that  the  future  seems  uncertain.

When  you  consider  they  get  double  our  gates  it  makes  you  wonder  if  they've  been  breaking  the  salary  cap  to  get  in  such  a  mess.

Apparently  Halton  council  who  own  the  ground   charge  high  fees  for  its  use.  This  appears  to  be  one  of  the  major  factors  regarding  their  financial  crisis.  According  to  one  of  their  fans  they  need  4000  just  to  break  even.
