with duffy fit again, bannister added to the squad and only jacko missing from last weeks 17, then someone is going to miss out

i think the new lad will play 2nd row off the bench allowing DR to move fletch or miller to prop for short spells, somthing he has done already this season (cant remember which game)

so think one of 3 players could miss out sice, matty or wright....with lester and smith both being in top form over the last couple of games they have to start at 13 and 9

so i will go for
1.GB
2.calvert
3.jackson
4.eilbeck
5.madden
6.rudd
7 duffy
8.trindal
9.smith
10.flapper
11.miller
12.fletch
13.lester

14.joe
15.sice
16.wright
17.bannister
18th man matty

would have liked to have seen ford get another run out but i think he has got an elbow injury or so i was told

as yet there is no news that donny have released any players so i expect penny, holroyd and tandy to play so this could be a very tough game

so people have put up there predicted team for sunday against donny.

but how the hell can you put banister in the starting 13 when NON of you have seen him play.

you cant drop sumone and put him in right away when u really dont know how good he is.

we have to start with the people who have been consistent this season and also unbeaten.

just cause he played/plays for saints it doesnt mean he goes right into the team.

agreed?

no.

dave wouldn't have signed him if he wasn't going to play.

I  don't  think  he's  dropping  anyone.  Teare, Hill  and  Jacko  are  all  out  so  no  one  gets  dropped.

We don't need an academy team, what's the point.

Bannister must be a fantastic player?

MOM is a must.

rob ive seen bannister play 3 times all on sky against catalans (twice) and bradford  ;D

his defence is excellent and his runs very good lines also kicks goals in the saints academy (when tyer isnt in the saints u21s)

Lets  face  it  anyone  DR  has  fetched  in  has  always  done  us  a  good  job.  Last  year  we  got  Leafe  at  about  the  same  stage  and  after  a  slow  start  did  well  in  the  end.  Don't  need  to  say  much  about  Fletcher  other  than  awesome.

Bringing  this  lad  in  might  be  a  kick  in  the  teeth  for  players  like  Ford  and  maybe  1  or  2  other  acadamy  lads  but  there  time  will  come.

If we dont have an academy team, how are we expected to bring the young lads into the game, or players returning form injury!

the point of having the academy is to bring on young players in the appropriate first team games, not in games like Donny away when we are already short of hill, jacko, teare, maca, seeds, fats

i would play fordy against Donny and bamber if Duffy was missing ,as for the rest this is not the game to blood them it could be a very tough game depending on the Donny team

as for Bannister...well you don't get some one on loan from sts who has first team games under is belt and not play him...if DA thinks he good enough to play against braford and cats...then DR must think he is good enough to play against Donny
