Kyle Trout has joined Kingstone Press Championship side Whitehaven on a one month loan deal.
The 23 year old forward made his first team debut for the club in the 2012 season and played a big part in the late charge to the play-offs.
Trout, who came through the Academy ranks at Belle Vue, featured just once for the Wildcats last season and reunited with former Head Coach John Kear at Batley where he made four appearances whilst on loan.
Following his spell at Batley, Trout then played 15 times on dual registration with Featherstone Rovers and was a consistent figure in Andy Hay's team up until an injury ruled him out of the play-offs.
Head Coach James Webster, ‘this opportunity provides Kyle with much needed game time in a strong competition. Kyle is a proud product of our junior system and can now push forward his case for Super League selection. We wish him all the best for the month and hope to see some strong performances’.
Amanda Hewer Community Manager at Whitehaven RLFC “We would like to thank Wakefield for their support in allowing Kyle to come to us on loan at this important time Kyle is a very good young player proven at this level and following on from the recruitment on loan yesterday of Paul Johnson and Grant Gore from Widnes, our squad for Sunday looks to have a greater quality and depth to it.”
