we could pay the price for success....after playing barrow on sunday in the 1/4 final of the thomas the tank engine cup

we only have 3 days rest befor a thursday night trip to dews for the sky game

events always seem to conspire against us

i think it will be a big ask to win at dews, having said that we went to leigh easter monday after 3 days rest

i would be tempted to play bamber, ford and benson on sunday and give some players a rest

When will spencer and maden be back...hope they are available for the dews game, lester also we could do with him at dews

THE MULLET IS BACK

The big difference with the Leigh game is that Dewsbury don't have a match this weekend

Also the players will have to get time off work and then travel the M6/61/62 during the day/ rush hour to get to Dewsbury - far from ideal preparation

At least I can walk to the ground

It's 160 miles so on a good day it's at least 4 hours on a coach

Most if not all the Dewsbury players are local or at least West Yorks based so no real travel issues for them & they will have had 10 days off

A win at Dewsbury in these circumstances will  be one of the best of the season

Personally i would play the accadamey team v barrow its is an irrelevant game compared to Dewsbury match.

It will ve very difficult for us to win at dewsbury next thursday if the same 17 have to back afetr thrree days.  Another loss in the league would be a disaster at this stage also.

By all means, use this game as an opportunity to rest the players who are carrying knocks. However, the most important thing on Sunday is to gain the upper hand as soon as possible and to keep the opposition on the back foot. The last thing the players want is an evenly matched, hard fought game on Sunday, with a difficult (and let's face it, more important) game at Dewsbury looming only 4 days later. Put the pressure on from the kick off and beat them into submission!!
