Sad to report the passing of Les who was 79. He was a Haven fanatic who famously lost his voice shouting Haven on at the 57 semi-final at Bradford when his beloved Haven came up just short in a controversial "drop goal" incident. Les was ordered not to even speak for weeks to give his vocal chords time to recover. If Haven had won through to Wembley I wonder if Les would have managed to stand mute?

Had many a pint wid les in crown and anchor, always had a crack about the haven, RIP marra u and moonshine will be avin a few up there
