Whitehaven are pleased to announce the signing of 22 year old Ryan Duffy from North Wales Crusaders. As a teenager at Warrington Duffy was permanent fixture in The Wolves under 20's before playing for a spell at Leigh and the being D.R. with our neighbours Barrow. Football director James Robinson said "we have to move quickly to secure Ryan's signature. He is a big unit and we hope he will give more forward power. I am looking forward to hopefully seeing him in his first run out on saturday."

Bloody hell the lad hasn't been at the club 2 hours and the attack squadron are after him give it a break and give the lad a chance we have a shortage of props with both Davis and T Chapplehow out injured. Look back 12 months when we signed Brooks it was said why have we signed someone from the lower league and low and behold he was one of the shining lights.

My point is and it's my view some players are under performing or should I say not delivering the goods
 Two games on the trot and we've used a winger off the bench
It just seems you can play bad and it's OK you can't be dropped

Howay lad this threads about duffy not underperforming players but i know where your coming from

I personally welcome him and hope he delivers what we are missing
My point is about team selection and our current position
Like I said it's my view that's what the forum is all about isn't it

Our own player and in a position we are short without DR so it good news.One of our exlies who watches NWC says he makes some yards and has a great off load .That will do for me competition for places
