The 2004 Junior Academy Player of the Year, Matty is a hard running back row forward who has honours with Yorkshire at U16s level. Matty is a local lad who signed from Embassy Longhill after being their stand out player for a number of years and played in national cup finals at under 14 and under 16 levels prior to gaining his Yorkshire Academy selection. Matty has played a number of positions during his playing career but now is concentrating on the back row position.

Whitehaven today confirmed the signing of Hull FC youngster Matty Dale on a months loan.

Twenty year old Matty was Hull FC 2004 Junior Academy Player of the Year, he is a hard running back row forward who has honours with Yorkshire at U16s level. He has made four first team appearances for the black and whites.
