Gotta say i thought calvert was top class tonight his defence has improved a hell of a lot and managed to tackle a huge tongan forward that was about 16 or  17 stone on his own and scored a try that was top class to all the ppl who called him will get a real  shock come next season

With regards to Calvert, he did have a very good game but it was the team tactics and game plan that dictated this.  Paul Crarey should take a lot of praise for this.  We all said watching the game last night that it has taken a coach from another club (Barrow) to use Craig to his full potential.  There were loads of times last season where the opposing full back was up in the line and a simple kick through would have resulted in a try for a speed merchant like Craig.  Carl Rudd was also excellent and surely warrants a start at six next season.

Well done on tonights performance Craig however one swallow doesnt make a summer. As for McDermott we should never have let him go in the first place, he was more than capable of holding his own at NL1 level and possibly the best defensively in the squad before he left.

Does anybody know if DR was at the game or is he away at the Scotland training camp?

There was one or two Tongans I wouldn't have minded signing too!

mcdermott and mcavoy where outstanding last nite brett would run at a brick wall and scotts angles were superb but also think scott would be a better centre
