Most cowardly act I've ever witnessed on a rugby pitch. He'll get a lengthy ban as he's got previous, apparently served a ban last year. The Brow player who was sent off for retaliation took two in the face before retaliating. What you supposed to do? Ask him politely to stop punching? Matty had come on and turned the game on it's head so draw your own conclusions.

Hopefully Matty will be ok, but the game is hard enough with out a cowardly attack like this, hope the NCL will give this guy what he deserves.

Nice to see the thug from Rochdale Mayfield who assaulted Matty has been dealt with by the NCL,banned until March 2018 by all accounts.

There is plenty who witnessed it that would have agreed with a life ban,especially if it means the end of Mattys playing career.
