Hope this idea becomes a reality as I have looked into going on a normal train and the return journey takes over 12 hours due to there being no connection at Barrow until Monday morning. Wouldn't mind a pint or three and don't know what the crack is with buses after the last fiasco.

no drink allowed on the club buses not sure about the private buses

club buses will be leaving around 7.30am /8.00am to allow a stop off for food and arrive in blackers in plemty of time to allow fans to get here fill of the pleasure beach or the pub ;D ;D

I think getting enough buses might be a little problem after the 2005 grand final debacle, especially if there is no train

Northern Rail are putting on a Special Final Train from Whitehaven to
Blackpool for the Northern Rail Final on Sunday the 15th July 2007.
Tickets will cost ?12 for adults and ?10 for children and will be
available from Whitehaven RLFC office. We hope to have train times on
Wednesday the 27th June and be able to give you times of when tickets
will be on sale.
There has been some major logistical problems to overcome but they have
managed to do it so well done to Northern Rail.

With regards to the capacity at Bloomfield rd, it is approx 12000. I was at the Blackpool v CUFC game on Boxing day last year and the were hoping for the first full house since the rebuilding started and it ended up just short at something like 11800-11900.

With regards to the Train special - I hope the powers that be get this sorted out properly, because it could end up being a magnet for the bandwaggoners who caused havoc last time round.

Apologies just asked this question on another thread about train times and things before reading this thread.

But just one question while I am here, why does it have to be 500 seats, can we not get a list of names of here to see who wants to go by train, get an approx amount, Then place a advert in Whitehaven news to see how many come forward for more seats.
Think I will start a thread just to see.

CUFC's official site had the attendance at 9473. It was a sellout
