Plenty of amateur games off this weekend so not unreasonable to think the DP  pitch was waterlogged, but find it strange that some Town fans were stating it was postponed because the pitch was frozen.

Don’t know if it is true but was told it was more standing water in parts of the pitch.

They’d hardly have let Sutton play for Distington if they were struggling themselves.

He was already cup tied so wasn't available for Town

The rumour mills are working over time over the Town game been called off, the last thing any team home or away wants is a mid week cup fixture, both clubs will now struggle to field a decent team mid week,  plus the crowd will be a fraction of what it could have been at the weekend.

Good comeback win for Town after being 18 points down  their win puts Haven 4th in the table.

Tough game against a good Newcastle team, nothing between 5/6 teams in this league

Sandow set for UK return

Chris Sandow could be set for a shock return to the UK with Workington Town, report League Express.

The Cumbrian club has been working hard to complete a move for the half-back, who has been a free agent since leaving Warrington Wolves at the end of the 2016 season. Sandow, 30, walked out on the Wolves after a year of his contract and has not played professionally since. League Express claim Leon Pryce’s Town are keen to hand Sandow a lifeline.

Hasn't been a salary cap for 3 seasons now well it's the same as the super league one for them who can afford it
