Whitehaven RL would like to announce that we will be welcoming Swinton Lions in a pre-season fixture on Sunday 21st January at the Recreation Ground with a 3pm Kick Off.
We will welcome Stuart Littler's Lions for the first time since the last league fixture between us at the end of the 2016 Championship season which we won 40-18.
The Lions finished sixth in the Championship shield in 2017 surviving relegation ahead of Oldham and Bradford.
This is the second pre-season fixture announced as We look to challenge ourseves ahead of the start of our 2018 League 1 campaign.
We will also travel down to South Cumbria to take on Barrow Raiders in a re-match of our League 1 play-off final defeat.
