Conditions aside  (same for both sides) and a poor referee who was watching a different game, we were abysmal,  could have played all day and never scored.. No idea when on their line  but beaten by a better coached and disciplined team who played not only better basic rugby but also how to play the ref. That aside, with a minimal bench (Olstrum not therefor whatever reason ,deciding his Sunday is better spent elsewhere-needs sorting out , undoubtedly he would have made a difference in defence todayWe were on a hiding to nothing without a bit of guile. Brooks, who couldn't break a tackle last year was a totally different player in an Oldham shirt. Oh well another usual start to the season for a Haven supporter but as in previous  years can only say again " Things can only get better" hopefully.

Why didn't JJP play if the club were that short of players,a couple of 10 spells is surely better than being a man short.

Wasn't registered in time was the rumour, but you can't expect 3 players to drop out anyway.

Awful.
No idea in attack.
One out rugby.
Not worth the £1 each for the 16 players...which is embarassing to start your first home game.

Surely he would have been registered as soon as his visa was granted.

As far as I am aware, you name a 19 man squad on Friday and that is it. Only under EXTREME Circumstances can you change it. Ie illness in camp etc.

You can name 19 and play a different 13, the squad naming is just for RFL Publicity.

Jessy still needs to do his pre season head test or he would ha e been on the bench

You can only blame this shocking performance on indiscipline, an awful pack and clueless and uninspired half backs.
The referee was a joke, but so most of them are, so you have to live with that and make the most of it......not play into his incompetent hands.
This performance was totally unacceptable, and like so many others leaving the ground, I wont be back until we are seen to turn in a winning performance against one of the accepted better sides in the division....I’m not wasting any of my pension on a clueless and half ar*ed team.
