Whitehaven RL can today announce the signing of back rower Liam Cooper on a one month loan deal from Super League side St Helens.
The 21 year old who signed for Saints from the Blackbrook amateur club and was part of the clubs unbeaten academy season back in 2016 as he captained the side when they defeated Wigan in the Grand Final.
Liam played two games on loan at Sheffield Eagles during the middle eight's campaign last season. He also made 11 appearances for the Saints reserve side in 2017 scoring five tries.
Head coach Carl Forster said "Its great to get Liam over the line, He's a player we've had our eye on for a while now and it's brilliant to get his services. He's a young keen lad who is just after game time so he will add good depth in our pack. He's a workhouse on the field with a good set of skills, I'm looking forward to seeing him in the Haven shirt."
