Bring it on, can only be good for the area and the game in general.Might ruffle a few feathers but he'll get the job done.

Obviously didn't take much of the geography in if he thinks all 3 clubs will pack up and join him.  Arrogant moron.

He doesn't. He wants 3 clubs to he feeder clubs to a brand new super league side.

Well as a coach of a U14s side and looking at youth in general something needs done rugby league should be thriving and it isn’t there’s no end game for our youth haven Town arnt intrested in 15/16 year olds anymore so why not? Haven and town can’t keep going down to Yorkshire/Lancashire for players when we should be using our own conveyer belt. If he’s serious bring it on cause the 300/400 diehards of Haven and town can’t keep them going!

He had five years and spent millions at Salford, and what was his end result?  No youth players developed, fan-base destroyed.  The man is a clown, who has no idea about RL.  Where does he think he can plop a stadium in and get a fan base from?  when the majority if not all players will be from outside the county.

Kendal or Carlisle would be only places really he could start. For me it a non starter but it’s his money and he can do what he likes with it.

Clearly be much easier buying into a current club with ready made fans and facilities

Sounds like your talking about Cumbrian RL

There is barely the fan base for 3 semi-pro clubs now, so to have another for SL and expect the other 3 to be "feeder" clubs is quite honestly laughable.

How are these 3 clubs going to survive? They cant get many through the gates now for one reason or another, one of the main ones being admission prices, so how will they compete with a SL franchise too?

Option 1 pay £16 to watch Haven or Town or
Option 2 pay £18-£20 to watch SL, sorry its a no brainer for floating fans who need to be enticed back to the clubs we currently have.

Dr Cashcard needs to be kept well away from Cumbria

Agree prices are high, considering the rugby on offer, but let’s not forget Wigan getting ~£1.2m off sky

The price reference I made was comparing local to potential SL club in Cumbria and Dr Cashcard wanting to use Haven Town and Barrow as feeder clubs, given a choice of paying to see those at around £16 or paying to watch a cumbrian SL team for a very similar price there is very little chance of the 3 clubs getting stayaway fans back.

The county cannot sustain a SL club and 3 semi pro clubs in my opinion.
