The price reference I made was comparing local to potential SL club in Cumbria and Dr Cashcard wanting to use Haven Town and Barrow as feeder clubs, given a choice of paying to see those at around £16 or paying to watch a cumbrian SL team for a very similar price there is very little chance of the 3 clubs getting stayaway fans back.

The county cannot sustain a SL club and 3 semi pro clubs in my opinion.

on radio carlisle this morning the dr has stated that he is three months into his plans with interested parties to form a super league team in cumbria.

  Carlisle have been getting a new stadium longer than we have. It won't be happening so long as the present BOD are still incharge. 

Ideally stick the new ground at Lillyhall there's enough land owned by BEC there.

The key to all this is location of club...if for one minute people think a SL team will get 6-7 k fans per week they are dreaming......us fickle fans after 1/2 a season of struggling in the lower SL will stop going and would be happy to watch on TV....we see it at haven and town...if you aint winning they stay away with every excuse to football on sky or its too cold.

I see his ambition but hes also likely to walk away at the drop of a hat if hes not getting the backing through the turnstiles...in a funny way i admire him but in reality i dont see it being a success
