The club did contact the local amateur clubs for mini teams to play prior to the Bradford game or at half time, but all the clubs coach's/players already had other arrangements planed for yesterday.

We have our bye next week and will make up 2 points on at least two teams above us.
We play west Wales on Sunday 23rd.

Considering the amount of Bulls fans I was very disappointed with the attendance. It pains me to say this but given the official attendance i very much doubt we broke the 1000 barrier for Haven fans. Disappointed and very disheartened

Yes, given the build up, I considered the 800-1000 Home fans there to be the town's answer to whether they were bothered about keeping semi-pro RL team.

Not just Haven's fault, how many non-hardcore fans could name a RL player? Years ago names like Hanley, Offiah etc would have been known to most sports fans but not sure many could name star players now?

RL's strength was in 'crappy little northern towns' who were too small to carry a decent level football team. In their desperation to "expand" and go to big cities that sound more glamorous, they have abandoned these places and now they have nobody left.

It was fathersday guys a lot of people will have been away or out with family and the weather was crap wasnt too bad considering that we wer told we wanted a thousand home fans for the game it was virtually achieved with bad weather and other people commitments its a good start we can build on it
