I know the dust has barely settled, but when are we likely to know if it's being played on Saturday (which Catalan normally do) or Sunday.

Come on lads and lasses - this may not have been the draw the club or most fans wanted but we have to embrace it as we are where we are. Nobody would have thought we would have been in the 6th round by knocking out 2 Championship teams.

There is potential to increase the clubs profile with this game and hopefully encourage more fans through the turnstiles, hell we may even get more interest from the business community. But that won’t happen if we harp on about how bad this is for the club.

We gotta play with the hand dealt and entrust that the team will put on a show from now until then and you never know we may even surprise everyone and claim a historical victory  :o

I’m sure the club are also a little disappointed but no doubt they will put a brave face on it for the above reasons.

i agree with all the above marra i feel for the fans though it will be costly getting over there and the week after we have london away also. but yes the tie has all the ingredients of a great weekend and a potential shock.

Would give them the game not worth cost or hassle, could be a distraction for the league  season what with reorganisation.

The team bonding and players getting a taste for better things could be invaluable for our quest for promotion. After initial disappointment, I'm now buzzing for the game.

With a average price of €16 and average gates of 8000 that could mean a windfall of € 64000 for the club, more than enough to cover the travel cost's plus there is still a chance of causing an upset.

The last CC game in Catalan was watched by 1600.

Hopefully Catalans will have learned from that experience and promote the game better.

The RFL are picking up the majority of the costs of getting Haven there (flights & accommodation) so while potentially not a money spinner we should still make something as well as raising the profile of the club and the players playing against a SL club, which I’m sure is where most of them want to be on a week by week basis.

Do the RL definitely pay for flights and accommodation? If so it is  far better tie than widnes, Salford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Featherstone and Toronto. And possibly some others, be amazing if at least 4000 don't turn up, so would be a decent pay day after all.

Believe they do so for the SL games so why any different for C Cup? Not sure how big of an entourage or for how many days (may just be the one night/ 2 days) but if full time SL clubs are subsidised then why not Haven

I agree totally mate, think SL clubs stay Friday and Saturday night, which is fair enough.
