Well done lads a great win under hard conditions, ref haddent a clue, they just want to rough us up and we stuck it out for a 2 point league win. Thomson was awasome today and should have got more ball in the 1st half 💪👍

Interesting to hear the players told where they stand on Wednesday, do does that mean where knackered at end of season or what?

Was an awful match for the spectator, I was hoping for some expansive fast flowing rugby but it was 2 teams playing dull one man rugby and both making a high amount of unforced errors especially given the dry conditions.

Both teams will be glad the opposition were poor as a good team would have punished either side today and rattled up a cricket score.

As it stands, we were the slightly better poor team and a win is a win. We will need a much better performance to get a result in either of the next two games

Hopefully Dion and Forster will be alright given the knocks they picked up

The heat will of been a massive factor- got to keep it simple to ensure the players can go the distance. As the old saying goes, "A wins a win"

Always thought Chris Taylor's upper body strength was awesome but today Dave Thompson showed he can bust a tackle or two as well. Thought Green had a mare.

Good win for you...

Genuine question, do you think the reduction in admission price brought many extra through the gates?

No, it was financial suicide. We have that core number of fans, who will turn up whatever.

Was a nice gesture by the club shame it's wasted on a county that's given up on semi pro rugby. Really hope am wrong but as a so called heartland we are a joke. People of Copeland don't care which is heart breaking whatever your reasons for not coming please come to one match. If you have ever had a passion for whitehaven save us a 2000 crowd would do us the world of good

Hard fought game. Both sides made silly handling errors which you wouldn’t expect in dry conditions.

That said our defence was awesome except for their 2 tries which where almost identical. Thompson was outstanding and his 80m try was worth the admission. Taylor was also outstanding with his score.

Downside was the crowd. Wasn’t given but I would say 700. Pity really as price was kept at £10. It does make you wonder if locals really want a team. I bet many don’t even know when the next home game is. Maybe advertising on a greater scale could be the answer
