i think you will find the reason behind the shirt is for players like

steve trindall
David fatialofa
leroy joe
etc
who wont get to play in another final, its steve trindalls first final he has appeard in.for them to remember the game and giving them somethig for all there hard work

the shirt is not on sale to the general public and no money wil be made, tracksuits were going to be made but this was decided against and shirts were arranged.

haven wil be wearing this kit while widnes will be i red and black.

Teams that have "special" shirts for finals i.e. new designs don't usually win - us at GF 2 years ago, Cas in NRC 2 years ago spring to mind

I think the players having a different shirt for the final is not all as bad as people make it out to be, just bcos they are wearing a top we can't have doesn't mean we are being left out in anyway, as fans we are there to sing for the team and cheer them on, i bet the people that go to the final wearing last seasons top or any other top don't care what top the teams wears. As for the top its the best shirt i have seen for last few seasons and would like something like that for next seasons home shirt.

this may sound daft but i take it they have new shorts and socks to go with them,i have seen the shirt and the gold on it looks orange and if the shorts and socks dont match it will make us look stupid on sunday
