Certainly need to do something, only problem with playing 3 times is some teams will get an  advantage as to who they get at home twice.
Not sure what the best outcome would be, but only playing home and away will be disastrous next season

Each team could play their local derby's 4 times,  eg town v haven s wales v n wales ect.

the underlying issue is that the RFL is bereft of leadership and of anyone with a half decent plan. Yes expand the game is a great idea but the how is much more important.
League 1 & the Championship will merge within 2 years to form one larger division. Conferences with a convoluted play off formula to decide promotion to SL if still allowed or more likely to just decide the champions as SL will have gone to a licensing type structure
