Another Home defeat to NW Crusaders

Have we gotten altitude sickness after being top of the league for so long?

Best team beat us well and truly today we were slow, lacking ideas and clearly not as fit as WW, we shone in parts but only just, Bad crack when a old timer gets the MOM. Can’t blame the ref for lost balls etc, Charlton excuses will be interesting to hear, silly mistakes, poor defending and of course loss of players due to injuries. We got what we deserved.

Not at the game, thought it would be a comfortable win & couldn't justify a300 mile trip. Reality is team that wins this league will probably lose 5 games. If we can turn it round on next two matches our destiny is still in our own hands. 4 game ending injuries and having to finish a game with 12 players will not happen every week.

Very poor effort today. Whole team looked lethargic. Got what we deserved I'm afraid

Absolutely effing atrocious. Wern't interested and asleep for most of the game. TOP OF THE LEAGUE BEGGARS BELIEF. Newton bombed the easiest try he would ever score - in his own head I'm sure he had already scored before he caught the ball!! He's not a fraction of the player he was when he last played for us, whatever the jam have done to him, he's lost that magic. Hope we can raise a team for next week..

Can't help injuries and head knocks but we look clueless after our early set hit ups.
Looks like we'd benefit from more ball in hand in training!
We go again!

Are we in a false position or what?

We wont win another game at this rate.

If Fozzy and Dion dont play well then we look clueless.

Other players need to stand up and be counted in games like that.

Few positives, Macca  of course and Shacks again showed up well.

But too many negatives, we drop too many balls, our kicking game was shocking and apart from his solo try, Phillips had a poor game.

Could be struggling to put 17 on the park for another tough games next week in London.

We need a scrum half who can organise. Dion back to stand off. Forrester back to full back and Taylor back into centre, mossop offers nothing in attack.

Well for excuses another long 2nd half. Not sure where all the time came from. Newts dropping the ball with the line at his mercy. Then came all the injuries. When Kelly left we only had 12 on the pitch with no one to fetch on..

That said best team won by a mile. Hats off to Crusaders. They played good enterprising rugby. Charlo take note. One up rugby simply doesn’t work. They threw it about and constantly offloaded the ball. For us it was trundle up the middle and hope for the best. We need to do what they did. Slick handling , players backing up. That’s how their last try came about. It’s not rocket science.

Roll on next week. Once over Skolars was a guaranteed 2pts but not this one. If we serve up another performance like this our top spot could soon end 😩😩

Kelly wasn’t injured, Jesse failed his head assessment and we were out of Substitutions, so Ethan had to come off after the 10 mins is up for the assessment.

Well that was bloody rubbish. No good blaming injuries or the ref. If we ever want to get out of this league we will have to improve.  If we can't beat one of the Welsh teams at home we might as well give up. But what will we do. Spend more money on  players who are just mercenaris are go bancrupt again.

Can't say that the team aren't willing to put their bodies on the line given the injuries picked up but we were second best today.

We just didn't seem quite at the races and made a lot of mistakes. Jessie and ethan knocking on in 1st half led to their tries, newts knocked on and bombed an easy chance and the tone of our game was set when all 13 of them just watched the ball bounce over the dead ball line from the restart after our first try and nobody even moved a muscle towards it.

Conceeded a try in final 2 minutes of first half and then 2 more in final minutes of second half... Not sure if it's fitness or physiological.

Suprised to see Callum singled out in previous comments ... Single handedly created three of our tries.

I’ll say it yet again....far too much forwards involvement in plays when pressing the opponents line. If we are unable to play more open game involving backs when we had a five point League 1 lead....we sure as hell ain’t bonnet do it now on a league season changing bad run of defeats.
