This has to be the worst standard of refereeing that I have seen at this level, he started well and gave a penalty to Oldham for holding down but then ignored both sides laying on for the next 79 minutes, I understand taking a team back 11 yards and allowing the defensive line to creep, particularly if the PTB is slow but he never looked along the line for offside but picked up minor technical penalties with Taylor moving off the mark to avoid a player left in the ruck. At first we got the rough end of all 50 50 calls but in the second half we got away with a couple of “dubious” calls.

Jordan Burns should be nailed on as full back, he fielded a number of high bombs and was always a threat coming forward, glad to take the win but would not have been disappointed by a draw

Great to get the win, we worked hard for it, would feel more comfortable about the rest of the season if I knew we had a plan 'B' during games which involved getting the ball out wide fast on occasions to bring into play our excellent wingers.

Agree about the referee, he just didn't seem up to it at all, I don't recall a single offside that he gave at the PTB, but Oldham were consistently way forward of the 10 m line. Linesmen were a waste of space too. HOWEVER, during the last quarter, the ref started giving us a few more decisions, which allowed to to take control of the game.

Well done haven, and was chuffed to see all of the team celebrating at the end of the game.

Fantastic win today but we made hard work of it .

Yet again it was one man stuff.  Big downside was when we did spread the ball it would often lead to drop balls  or loose passes because our players aren’t use to that style of play anymore. Oldham played a more slick style of rugby giving the ball some air..

Our saviour was in defence. Tackled like demons and that was were the game was won.  Well done to Jordan for getting MOTM. Awesome display. If he’s not Havens Fullback for the rest of the season there’s something seriously wrong. Chris back in the centres . As for the Ref  enough said.

Roll on Donny. Win there and it would put us in a great position although Thunder are getting a bit of momentum

Fantastic win.

Newcastle looking ominous in 2nd place. Looking at their fixtures we need Oldham and one of the others to knock them off.

I cant see us winning all our games. Could come down to PD.
