According to the RFL website Ottowa have been denied permission to join league 1 for the 2020 season.

It’s expected them and New York will start in 2021.

That’s 2 nice little jollies over the big pond  😊😊

The expected downgrade is the following season. The TV deal ends in 2021, so the changes (that I personally hope don’t happen whatever league we are in) will come into effect in the 2022.  The only way this would change would be for the new deal to become effective prior.
