Heard on the grapevine we’d signed 4 new players for next  season so far including an ex player. It’s fair to say next season is going to be really tough with plenty of quality sides in the championship so to have any chance the squad needs to be strengthened considerably. With Barrow relegated maybe get one or two of their better players . It’s going to be an interesting pre season  :)

Heard Glenn Riley back at prop who is a unit probably to replace coward who I think will retire. But we need to tie down foz fast and the other lads we have a month or so head start of other side's to find who we want and start preparing hopefully the club takes advantage of this but what a day it's been

Great weekend for the club, publicity all over facebook and social media from players, other clubs and the RFL. Do we receive additonal funding going forward into next year? Or is it just a bigger salary cap? I would have thought this will have a bearing on how many and who we sign will it not?
It will be tough but we've got a great young local team that just needs supplemented by a few.

More money equals better contracts we are in a great position to sign the best Cumbria has to offer we have to take it and we need Quality outside players not here just for money we need the likes and class of foz Dave and Chris and Ellis etc people who stay at the club and work hard week in and out it's in our hands is. Is this the end for Jessie? Are we gonna sign an Aussie or two? Who knows it's exciting times

Posted on Facebook that I hope Carl  Forster re-signs for the club, both Carl and Elaine liked it, here's hoping.

We need 4 or 5 massive props next year and if we can get Riley we will have that but foz is desperately needed surley has no reason to leave but I do feel next year we need a 6 with kicking game as we will get batterd if we don't we got away with it this year but next year is a different ball game but that's the most essential player we need to get imo

If we sign McNally where will he play. Burns at fullback has been excellent, if we shift him to the wing do we lose Thompson or Bulman (one for the future), If he goes to 6 does Dionne go back to 13 where he belongs and so what about Wilkinson? interesting times ahead, can't wait...

As an outsider looking in ,why changed what has worked and that is a predominantly locally based squad. There are several cumbrians in SL etc coming to later end of their careers in SL.They may be looking to relocate back to Cumbria ,also some overseas quality living locally. The two most successful seasons in recent history 2004/5 and 2019 prove it works.

McNally could play in the halfs like he did when he first came

I don't think McNally will sign his wife needs constant care and she is from Leigh probably wants to stay near her family.
