Sad news reported on Twitter this evening by Rugby League Journos, that Hugh Waddell has sadly passed away today aged 60.

Condolences to family and friends

Sad to hear that ex GB prop Hugh Waddell has died at just 60yrs of age. Hugh played for a number of clubs during the 80’s and 90’s which included a handful of games for Haven in the 1994-95 season and a season with Egremont ARL.

A gentleman always friendly and approachable when he played for and against Haven
