**Golden Point Extra Time will be available in all Betfred Championship and League 1 fixtures next season – but with a different twist.
When a game is level at the sounding of the final hooter, each team will take one point for earning a draw – with a third competition point then made available to the first team to score in two five-minute periods of extra time.
The Golden Point will be available for the first time in the Betfred Championship on the weekend of January 31 – February 2.**
The first away game of the season is the trip to the capital to take on London Broncos at Ealing Trailfinders. The Broncos were the relegated side in one of the most competitive Super League seasons ever and will be looking to bounce back at the first attempt.
Back to back home games follow welcoming fellow promoted side Oldham and then Toulouse on February 16th and March 1st respectively.
Looking ahead we have two games over the Easter period making the trip to take on York City Knights at the brand new York Community Stadium before welcoming Leigh Centurions to the Recre on Easter Monday.
Round 14 sees the trip to the south of France to take on Toulouse over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend on Saturday 23rd May with a 3.30pm kick off local time. The week after sees us return to the seaside and the summer bash for the first time since 2016.Always a popular trip for the Chocolate, Blue & Gold army. We take on Sheffield Eagles at Bloomfield road with a 3.15pm kick off.
We have a home game on August Bank Holiday weekend now the Challenge Cup Final is now being played in July. We welcome York City Knights on Sunday 30th August in the final home game of the season before rounding off the season with a trip to the Olympic Legacy Park to take on Sheffield Eagles.
