If that’s anything to go by it’s going to a long season.
Defensively we weren’t too bad, attacking play was woeful, conditions certainly didn’t help with handling errors all over the place. Why didn’t he select Jessie? Be interesting to see Charlos thoughts on that.

Horrendous performance with 2 poor teams.

Difference was their 6 and 7.

We were devoid of any creativity whatsoever. Missed Forster massively, we look utterly lost.

Hope Charlo has the balls to own that defeat, effort 100%, team selection and tactics terrible.

Absolutely terrible performance, coward showed today that age matters he was diabolical, Dion is a out and out prop nothing else, there 6 and 10 ran the show, they were fitter and wanted it more our play the balls are shocking we are to slow. We won’t win a game if we play that way...... simple.

Absolute shocking performance across the park, no game options, basic errors from the kick off and line speed is shocking. Swinton no 6  oils have worn a dinner suit as we let him run riot, our game plan is so so predictable for defensive coaches to work out. God help us this year as we will be tonked ever week

Really poor today. Against what could be fellow relegation rivals these are must win games. It’s want for lack of effort. We tackled well but it was just the basic things. Too many dropped balls near their line.. 1 man rugby. It worked well last year against poorer teams but it won’t work this season. Standing back letting opposition run at you.  When we had the ball they were much quicker moving up..

As for the team walker was outstanding. Sadly we  have 1 or 2 are a. It too old for this league.

On a final note I hope we don’t get Hewer reffing again. It must be hard for him officiating against his home town.  So he doesn’t look to be biased I felt he  leaned more towards Swinton.

Still if we can get the basics right We could get a few wins. Onwards and upwards

Didn't take long to start blaming the ref for the loss. Game one. Going to be a long season

The ref did not kick the ball out on the full 1st min
He did not drop the balls
He did not let the attack run10 every play off the ball and get better field position than us
He did not stop us having no attack options
He did not pick the aged team members
He was not responsible for us not having a recognised scrum half

This team needs to wake up and realise that paying (£17) will not put up with crap and will have plenty of excuses to stay away so it time to change the one man rugby from last season and start playing faster, smarter and seriously looking to perform consistently or we are doomed END OF

Agree with most of that.  Regarding hewer he should have to answer why he never stopped the clock after the scuffle.  3 minutes were lost.  The bloke is imcompatent as they come - in general.  Was awful in the Derby as well.

What difference did it make?  Haven would not have scored if he had added another week to the match time - do not blame anyone other than the Haven set up - diabolical!!

Really think 3 mins would have made a difference? another 80 mins would have showed we are slow, lacking in in ideas and every aspect of competing in this league END OF Unless something  changes in the next week or so

Our props are slow, we play one up of the ruck, we don’t support the ball runner and we look be rift of ideas in attack. Jesse needs to go back in centre IMO as mossop is a good defender offers nothing in attack, also I think it’s shown coward cannot get away at this level.
