I like many am disappointed with the defeat yesterday, a defeat which so easily could have been a victory.
But let’s get off the players backs, no one can claim they wasn’t great effort expended in the cause yesterday, no one can claim that on another day we could have won quite easily.
The team is what it is, a group of committed players, doing their best, and doing only what they are capable of. It’s not their fault that they are short of say two others with speed and flair to take advantage of the hard work the rest are doing. And to some extent, it’s not the BOD’s fault either,as they were let down by their ‘ace in the hole’ who should have come over from PNG, but chose instead to let us down.
Who knows, with him in the team, we may now be ‘happy chappies’, with two wins and four points in the bag, and an even better result away at London to celebrate.
Support the team, hold off the criticism of the team or individuals as they are doing their best, ....even last year we didn’t have a team with flair, it was all hard work and belief in each other. That belief is still there, the effort is still there, all we probably need are two ball players with pace and one with a half decent kicking game.....and the rest is good enough to see us do reasonably well in this division (all of course IMO).

So we don’t sign 1 player who-can pull us out of a hole “no we all knew we had a team that was is some ways to old and slow with no flair”, yes we won C1 but let’s face it we didn’t set the world alight with flair. But in all fairness we were always going to struggle in this devision with the fitness, age, and tactical prowess we have I cant see how we can pull ourselves out of this quagmire with just 1 decent halfback ( if he is injured we go back to square 1) sorry but Charlo has the same talk week after week about wrong choices etc etc.
Mud is a great leveller but if other teams are slower in the mud and bad conditions then what will they be like when the pitches dry out Fast FAst FASt FASTER 🙈

Errm 'lastmanstanding'........do try to keep up.

Quite a lot of criticism which every fan has the right to do. My main concern is our style of play. The effort is there and the players were trying. We out scored them 3 tries to 2 . We just need a leader on the pitch and show a bit more inventiveness. Things like offloading in the tackle when players back up. Little chips over the defence. Players taking the ball in at pace rather than from a standing start.  Sadly it’s all too predictable and coaches must look at videos of our games and be licking their chops. Charlo and his coaching staff need to change things a bit. Even if it doesn’t come off it’s not for lack of trying. We need a plan B.

That said I’ll always try and get behind the side even during bad times.

Just watched the penalty try on the our league replay (1:28:30 ish if you want to look)... Definite trip and deserved yellow card but never a penalty try, still had metres to go and 2 defenders almost within arms reach  :witch:

Have to get Burns back at any cost, he would have made that tackle on Abram.

Burns wont ever don a Whitehaven shirt again, most likely Town bound when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Writing is really on the wall now. Without Forster in the team we have little direction. No flair or creativity at HB.

We are going down and will probably lose our better players to Town / Barrow.

Troubling times.

Not the end of the world but we are going to be relegated and all that comes with it.

You cant lose to Oldham and Swinton at home and expect to stay in the division.

We DESPERATELY need a HB yet it seems to be the elephant in the room.

Another game with 200 more tackles made in the game than the opposition.  We are not that far away, dowsett and Riley and hopefully a new SH will make a big difference.  But Charlo has to start our best 13, having our best players coming off the bench will not cut it in this league.
