Is that maybe because some of the brow lads who got them up are now in the Haven team.

BIG BAD BARRIE MCDERMOTT for coach.....

He would have the respect of all the players and would attract alot of players to us.

Whenever Dave Rotherham goes, be it the end of this week or the end of the season, the board need to be proactive from now in seeking the right man for the job. I would much rather have a highly rated, ambitious overseas coach in the same mould as Justin Morgan or Terry Matterson than a gruff, inarticulate Tyke. Ok, he's had experience coaching a Super League team, but I'm afraid the prospect of Karl Harrison as our next head coach doesn't excite me at all.

yippee!!!!!!!!!!!

thought i was going mad!!!!

at last someone else who can see phil clarke as a good choice as haven coach

he has done it all with wigan, been GB team manager, watches and studies the modern game and knows it inside out

if somebody like mr clarke or barry mac couldnt get respect from the players i feel sure they would inform the board and ask to be backed in removing said players from the club!

PHIL CLARKE FOR COACH!!
the reverand, big mac

Just cause you don't understand what's going on don't mean it don't make no sense
And just cause you don't like it, don't mean it ain't no good

Whether he will or he wont, ones thing is for certain and that is he hasn't got a contract for next season. Therefore, if his contract is not going to be renewed, then we need to find a replacement now.

Has Phil Clarke even got any coaching qualifications, does it matter, we currently have a coach who is in all probability here until at least the end of the season, so it is pointless discussing who everybodies favourite coach would be.
God this is a long tunnel...........and its getting longer by the minute!

Thing  is  if  we  could  get  a  coach  in  quick  +  1  or  2  new  players  we  might  actually  be  able  to  salvage  something  from  this  year.

Finishing  3rd  is  all  important  but  if  we  lose  to  Widnes x 2 , Cas  and  Fax  we  could  very  well  end up  in  5th.  Getting that 3rd  spot  is  vital  if  we  are  to  have  any  slight  chance

IMO I don't think their would be sufficient money to pay up the current coaches contract and bring in another couple of players without a major reshuffle of the current playing staff.  Think we make the best of whats left of the season and plan for next season now.
God this is a long tunnel...........and its getting longer by the minute!

Serious post from me here, I know it makes a change, but the
usual stuff is only banter.

I can't believe you are calling for the head of a coach, who took
you to third last season in the league, you are again currently
third in the league and you have just got to a final.

Just beggars belief and I think some of you need to get a reality
check,  he is competing against full time squads and has done
the best he can with his part time squad.

My god if I was an Haven fan I would be more than happy with
Dave Rotherham as the coach, and if he does go then I would
be delighted if we could afford him and he wanted to do the
job at Town.

Fair enough I got sick of GS but that was after he took us out
of the playoffs in a league below and quite obviously wasnt
getting the results.

Widnes on Sunday were outstanding, no disgrace in defeat to
them, they were awesome and everything went their way.  On
that showing I think they would be easily safe from relegation
from super league if they were playing it now.

Think you should be looking more closely at the actions of
some of your senior players and possibly some board
members rather than Dave Rotherham.  Still if he is forced
out, I sincerely hope Town make a move for him and then
he will be highly motivated to get us up to your level.
