Some sad news this evening as we have learned of the death of former Haven forward TOM PULLIN at the age of 86. Tom played amateur for Hensingham and represented Cumberland and England at that level before signing for Whitehaven at the age of 22 in October 1960.

He made his debut for Haven in a 45-7 loss at Warrington on the 17th December 1960. He played a total of 113 games in the chocolate, blue and gold coming off the bench for four of them. His final game was on the 8th of April 1970 away to Warrington. During his career he scored 12 tries and kicked nine goals.

Tom played in the back row for Haven and also at fullback. He was a member of the team that won the Kelso sevens in the summer of 1963. (Pictured below with the trophy). His brother, Joe, also played for Haven at the same time.

Rest in Peace Tom.
