Watched the NRL grand final on Sunday night, brilliant to see a Cumbrian team win it Penrith, if only that was true.
It was a brutal game mainly based on defence. Two great teams giving everything.
The Penrith team mainly consisted of local juniors, many from an area in Sydney, Mount Druitt, which is a predominantly a working class area, on the lower end of the pay scale. Most of these boys came through the centre of excellence in the Penrith area, which was initiated by Gus Gould when he arrived at Penrith a few years ago.
Congratulations to Penrith they deserved the win.
