Never gonna win a game if you leave your best two players on the bench and bring them on 18-0 down Phillips after 25 mins and Dion 30
This will be no consolation whatsoever, in fact quite the opposite, but Halifax left Walmsley and Jouffret out of their team today!

Not sure if we have replaced Joufrett.

Hopefully Bishop will be our game breaker once he adjusts.

Too early to panic.
Joufrett the big miss this season. Bishop a hooker for  me.

Exactly the team are still getting used to each other. We lost the 1st 3 last year before the victory vs Thunder. We have enough in this squad not to go down.

Barrow were the better team, much more savvy than us and used the wind well with their kicking game especially in the first half.

Poor discipline and daft decisions made us work much harder than we needed to.

That being said, there was much more effort in the 2nd half and the team showed a lot of heart even if we still made poor decisions . Had any of the three disallowed tries been given it would have made it a different game.

P. S I hope the idiot who threw the smoke flare on the field is never allowed in a rugby game again whichever set of fans they were from.
Your young element of support did the throwing of the smoke bomb & also throwing digs from behind to one of Barrows elder supporters leaving the ground.
the only way is up.

Same as last week.  Also not gonna win many having dion as a prop

We need the pitches to dry up and quick. Barrow played the conditions better first half.

Why was the pitch such a mess? It looked as though someone had been driving on it!

The average age of the groundstaff is app 75. They are all volunteers and work almost every day of the week at that ground with what limited equipment they have. They put a lot of work into getting the ground fit for yesterday.  A combination of issues meant that they had to use the roller on the pitch when the pitch was soft. Do you expect them to hand roll it? It's February which ,means the weather is crap. Look at the state of the ground after yesterdays game and again heavy rain this morning yet those guys will have to try and repair that. I'm sure they would like state of the art equipment to use but, like a lot of other clubs, we don't have that kind of money. Everything has to be on a shoestring because if it wasn't there would be no club. People need to remember that when they complain about admission prices.
