A loss on the road to Halifax Panthers.   We started well but being so injury ravaged took its toll in the 2nd half of the game.

Fingers crossed the injuries sustained are minimal

Sounded on the radio that the ref penalised us any chance he could in the 2nd half. Played well 1st half but with a limited bench and injuries the inevitable was going to happen.

Even taking into account last weeks efforts and a 3 man bench, that’s some collapse in the last 20 mins, conceding 36 points.

36 points in 20 minutes for a team of semi-pro players that are getting paid to play just isn't acceptable.

Bet they are still out on the pi$$ tonight.

Not good enough.  Jonty refusing to give an interview says it all.  Another game won and threw away.

Jonty didn’t refuse to give an interview - time constraints on air meant we couldn’t wait but he has done two interviews post game for Radio and Haven’s socials. The one on Haven’s socials has now been posted

Can't fault the effort, small bench and injury  meant the guys ran out of steam against a bigger pack and an iffy ref who showed his bias second half.
Don't like losing but as long as the guys try and leave  nothing in the tank makes the defeat a bit more bearable.

Can’t believe some of the negativity on here. Ok disappointed to chuck a decent lead away, but the lads gave everything today against a big team that should be finishing top 4. Going into today’s game without our two inform props with another who shouldn’t have played on the bench and Tom Wilkinson was always going to be a big ask.
A decent cup run nearly always has an adverse effect on the league and last week despite the success of the day has come back to bite us big time.
As Jonty said post match next week’s game is one we could have done without to give some battered bodies a chance of recovery.

Never thought I’d say this but Ask to forfeit the game we won’t get nothing out of it let shef go through we can focus getting people back into the side the league is far more important and the games the week after

Listened to it on the radio and a brave effort from the lads .  We didn’t have a full bench and one or two where already carrying knocks . Last 20 I don’t think we had any subs left . Connor also went off injured and we had players playing out of position.

It was disappointing to ship so many points in the last quarter and the ref hammered us for pens in that time . Defo need to strengthen the squad from somewhere

The reality is that our games that will define our season are London (H) Dewsbury (A) and the 3 games against town. Win those 5 we will be fine for this season.  There are a number of games where we have a shout but the above 5 are all "4 pointers"

Ask any semi pro coach or player, after such a massif game like last weeks St Helens challenge cup game, the players are going to be both mentally and physically exhausted,   and then with the injury's, i think it was a great effort for the team to do what they did in the first half, but it all caught up with them in the second half.
