The club can today announce that Catalans Dragons loanees Corentin Le Cam and Cesar Rouge have been recalled by parent club Catalans Dragons as the French Super League side deal with suspensions and injuries.

Both Le Cam and Rouge made two appearances for the club since joining the club on loan following the international break which seen Rouge start for France.

But with the Dragons being hampered with injuries and suspensions ahead of Super League’s Magic Weekend the pair have returned to Perpignan.

Head coach Jonty Gorley spoke saying “ It's been quite a fast process with Cesar and Corentin. We'd just received confirmation off Alex Chan that he was sorting the paperwork out for them both to stay for the rest of the season, then Ashley got a call to say Catalan needed all their loan players back, as they've got injuries and suspension to deal with.
Both Cesar and Corentin integrated brilliantly at Whitehaven and you could see that they have got some talent and a great future in front of them. It's unfortunate it's been cut short for them, with us, cos they were doing us a job and gaining experience at the same time. I hope they both do well in their quest to be established SL players.

Director Ashley Kilpatrick said “ We’re disappointed to lose Cesar & Corentin as they were just starting to get used to how we play and our structures, but we understand why they are being recalled as the Dragons have had an injury crisis and lost 3 players to suspension so are needed back in France. 2 brilliant lads on & off the field and we wish them both the best.

I’d like to go on record to thank catalan, Steve McNamara & Alex Chan.

Alex has been brilliant to deal with he has been top class from start to finish, especially sorting the lads visas out and going through that process with us and advising all the way on that matter with brexit etc.”

How utterly ridiculous.

Wouldn't surprise me if the HB ends up at a top end Champ club in 2 weeks time.

Think he was the game breaker we so desperately needed.

I agree reminded me very much of Jouffret. Hopefully if Catalans injuries improve we’ll get them back
