Whitehaven Rugby League can this evening announce that Kells ARLFC prop Ross Ainley has joined the club on a month’s trial ahead of our pre-season friendlies starting this Sunday.
Ainley was voted MVP at presentation night for Kells after a successful season for the 🔴⚪️ as they secured promotion back to the NCL Premier Division.
Director Ashley Kilpatrick spoke of Ainley saying “I’m delighted to have Ross join us for a month, Ross is someone I’ve told Jonty to have a look at since I came into the club. He’s been a standout for Kells since breaking into the first team and has bounced back from a serious leg injury to carry on where he left off. I Cant wait to see Ross in the friendlies.”

Brought the Workington player in Hutchingson on loan .  Does feel we are bringing in bodies rather than capability.  But at least it's another bloke in a uniform. 

A bit of a concern Workington dudnt retain him mind.

Worrying town got relegated for a reason but we are bringing lads from them. It’s sort of concerning

If you are a regular on town forum you would see he is highly rated by many, think it's well worth a months trial to see how he goes.  Absolutely nothing to lose for either party.
