Great  win  today.  Well  done  lads.

Surely  3rd  spot  must  almost  be  ours.  Fax  picked  up  a  bonus  point  so  it  puts  us  6  ahead  with  5  games  left.

Maybe  were  starting  to  find  some  form  at  the  right  time.

thats 7 points from the 4 league games in july(which included cas and widnes away) this should nail 3rd for us and if other teams leigh and cas can beat widnes we could sneak 2nd

To  finish  2nd  we  need  to  win  all  our  5  games  and  hope  Cas  slip  up  against  someone  else  as  well  as us.

Really  we  should  have  beaten  Donny  and  held  on  against  Widnes.  If  we  had  then  we  would  have  been  just  a  point  off  Widnes  and  2  away  from  Cas.

The defence was what won us the game.

Listening to Radio Leeds on the way back, Martin Hall said we thoroughly deserved the win.
After Rudd's try in the 3rd minute up til half time, we never had field position or the ball.
Great last ditch defending.
It took until about 5 minutes into the second half for us to get a penalty.
Halifax fans on the radio were complaining about the ref, but in all honesty he was about the same to both teams.

And  the  Fax  fans  were  complaining

Fax seemed to get away with putting the knees in the tackle all game.
He missed a couple of our high shoys but that was about all he missed for Fax.
Reading Fax's website, their fans seem to be saying the game changed when their full back knocked on a high ball that we later scored off. They seem to forget that they got into the game when Calvert  dropped a ball behind our line for them to score.
