By my reckoning if we'd stuck to 2 points for a win. 1 for a draw, 0 for losing. The only difference to the table would be Batley finishing above Dewsbury.

What a waste of time.

Good article in today's RL Express about the scoring system in NL's by someone who has recorded it over the season and his conclusion is that it has been a failure.   The reason it was introduced was to provide more closer finishes with teams fighting hard for a bonus point.   However, the reverse effect seems to have happened with teams going all out to stop their opponents getting a bonus point and the overall effect is that this year there were less games with a tight finish than in previous years.

Watch out for another brainwave from Red Hall for Mational League clubs to try out next season!!!!!

It's only a matter of time until we're tried with the idea of only getting 3 points for a try scored with the aid of a kick.

I see that the RFL have announced that seeing as how the bonus system was such a huge success last season they will retain it for the NL's this season.

However, they don't intend to introduce it into SL.      Are the people at Red Hall real people or what????   The only difference it made to either of the two leagues was that the 6th and 7th teams would have exchanged places.   Huge success!!!!!!!
