Kids Go Free

Kids go free at the big match on Thursday night. Thursday nights game between Whitehaven and Leigh (kick off 7-30pm) in the Co-op National Leagues Play offs will see all children admitted to the Recreation Ground free when accompanied by an adult. Both Haven and Leigh want to encourage fans to attend the game and watch it live rather than on TV and be part of the atmosphere.

TV coverage will obviously 'hit' the gate, so if haven and Leigh DO want to encourage fans to attend, why don't they significantly lower the entry charges.

Note, Sheffield simply opened the gates (FREE) for last weeks SKY coverage !!

I am not looking for something for nothing .... I don't mind paying ...... but a bumper (or better than average) gate should lift haven and help put Leigh on the back foot.

An empty stadium plays right into Leighs hands !!

How  will  it  work  then.  If  I  go  through  the  Adult  paying  turnstile  will  my  child  have  to  follow  me  or  will  I  have  to  take  her  through  the  U16  one  and  let  the  person  on  the  gate  know  she's  with  a  adult ???

last night i missed my 1st home game of the season because i was ill so my 11 year old had to go on his own and was charged 3 quid on the gate. a bit mean i think if it says kids free then they should be free
