Barrie McDermott for me.  Mid way thru reading his autobiography at the moment and what hoot he would be!  Would certainly get the lads raved up.

Ged would be a great acquisition and he lives local.

Is the coach going tobe announced tomorrow.  i would have to much of a problem with Ged Stokes.
funnily enough.  He has a lot of experience and lives local which is  aplus.

Would be a bit ironic though Rotherham to Town and Stokes to Haven

Probabaly annunced mid to end of next week listening to what Des has said. Will take some sifting through a number of  candidates for a shorlist to interview.

Thats it, how much more proof does anyone need. I take it you tried to say you wouldn't have a problem with Ged Stokes becoming coach at Haven, bloody hell I nearly choked when I saw that. Ged Stokes as coach you must be having a laugh or more realistically you ARE a Townie. How can you say things like that as a so called Haven fan (I take everything you say with a bucket full of salt, not a pinch). Ged is a poor mans Dave Rotheram, unexciting rugby by numbers, lets play the percentages. Nay, nay and thrice nay. Who was the last ex-Town coach that we got? Was it Norman one point Turley? And how good was he? I still can't get over that, Ged Stokes for coach, now that really would be last one out turn off the lights.

ANZAC must think everyone on here are complete muppets!  He has done nothing but critise everyone involed with whitehaven rugby league, praise DR... and now he suggest stokes would be a good coach for whitehaven???  I think its pretty obvious he isn't a whitehaven fan.
