What did the papers say?

It says in the League Weekly, page 21,   -  " Whitehaven have offered their head coaching job to former player Peter Camroux, League Weekly understands.   Camroux, a former Balmain Tigers player and coach, spent last season coaching in Australia's Jim Beam Cup competition with Belrose Eagles in Sydney.   Haven are now awaiting a work permit for the Aussie, who will replace Dave Rotheram in charge at the Recreation Ground.   The Cumbrians are said to have previously made unsuccessful attempts to lure Warrington assistant James Lowes and Hull No.2 Richard Agar to the club".

Why does the new coach have to be high profile?

I would go for someone who knows his stuff, has good links with big clubs and is prepared to work their socks of to forward the club. Someone who is up and coming is going to want to perform well in order to further their career. A big name will want too much money, which unfortunately we don't have.

spot on remember the coach counts on the salary cap, so to pay 60/70k to  a big name means less to spend on players

Not bothered about coach being included on salary cap, just don't want to have to spend too much money on him as we only have limited resources for players.
