no work for me on a sat so i can have a good sesh.are clubs allowed to decide when they play? heard barrow we're doing the same thing.already an upper hand for salford on part time teams who will have the majority of players working days.smart move by them.

Not good for those of you wanting to come from the town to watch what would be a big game but as far as I'm concerned I only live up the road (25 minutes) so not bothered, but that is a selfish opinion.

On another note however that will be a big advantage for Salford playing part time teams at home. Salford will be able to plan and get ready all day whilst others may have to work before getting on the coach and travelling through the rush hour. Hence big advantage for Salford.

Yes clubs can choose their home match days

Sheffield always play on Fridays except when on TV

i ano same ere >:( i think its terrible if you ask me i don't see why teams should get to pick what days they play their games on in Nl1 (there not in super league now) lol  ;D all games should be played on sundayy

when were next seasons fixtures released?

who's to say we wont play saltpot away on good friday?

or the friday of whit week?

or during the summer holidays?

should not be allowed .it creates an un level playing field and a massive disadvantage to part time teams .

Shouldn't be allowed.  Most teams are part time.  That is reality.  Teams should be forced to play majority of their games at the weekend.  Particularly for a team that isn't based on the M62.  Whitehaven should complain to the powers that be.  Of course we know they wont listen, as one of the main things holding RL back as a national sport is the small minded, corrupt people who control the game.

I'd definitely prefer a friday night game, especially during the football season.
As soon as united or liverpool are on the box, 300-400 disappear off our gate.

The only thing would maybe be a clash with live SL games on sky.

What about an evening kickoff on a saturday?
It would be a good start to a night out. ;)
