NEW PLAYERS AT A GLANCE
Mark Lennon (Hull Kingston Rovers)
Luke Dyer (Hull Kingston Rovers)
David Tangata-Toa (Hull Kingston Rovers)
Jordan James (Widnes Vikings)
Ian Webster (Widnes Vikings)
Aaron Summers (Widnes Vikings)
Steve Thomas (Neath RU)
Ben Flower (Bedwas RU)

So,me pretty handy signings in there for Celtic I would certainly take the top four od those to haven at the drop of your hat.

Add in the Aussies they have retained from this year like josh Haney (NQ cowboys centre 70 games) Dunigan Van Dyke, and the to second rows from the NRL  Martin and (?) and you have a very decent team

The rugby league are all up for these Welsh cowboys, actually how many welsh players play for them, we might as well stick a scottish team in and fill it full of kiwis.

If Celtic Crusaders don't have a salary cap Rugby League is a JOKE.
How can you have every other team on a salary cap and make an exception for them.
It makes Rugby League" a laughing stock" compared to other sports.

Crusaders boost squad with six Welsh signings
10 Oct 2007 The Celtic Crusaders are already preparing for life in National League One with the signing of six Welsh Internationals.

Mark Lennon and Luke Dyer join from Hull KR whilst Jordan James and Ian Webster join from National League One playoff finalists Widnes Vikings. Prop, Aaron Summers, has also made the move to Brewery Field from Widnes.

The Crusaders have also signed two players from Rugby Union. Steve Thomas signs from Neath, having previously played with London Broncos. Ben Flowers will make his Rugby League debut after joining from Welsh Rugby Union side Bedwas.

Australian Prop David Tangata-Toa joins the club from Hull Kingston Rovers.

Nothing in the RL rule book that says welsh clubs don't have a salary cap it will be ?400k or if they have applied for the 50% increase ?600k ! Question is how much will they exceed it by with their new squad ........... As much as Castleford or Widnes ??

Answers on a post card please to RL HQ Leeds  ;)

It depends on how much they get paid for playing rugby and how much for their other job

Read a thread on the RLFans site apparantly 9 or 10 of the Celtic Crusaders squad this year have been employed as RL Development Officers in the South Wales area ......... wonder who is paying for that then !

No problem with the concept but how many Development Officers are there in Cumbria ?

Level Playing Field ??? or a Batley slope x's 10 ????
