Well said Rob_Haven. They probably will do the same this season with the signings they have made and who they have got to sign back on.

Judging  by  the  signings  Cas  and  Widnes  have  made  I  would  say  both  teams  are  sailing  close  to  the  wind  with  regards  the  salary  cap.

Problem  is  when  accounts  are  published  if  any  wrong  doings  have  gone  on  its  too  late  for  the  RFL  to  do  anything  really  positive  as  the  following  season  is  well  under  way.

Maybe  it  would  be  a  good  idea  for  the  RFL  to  publish  every  clubs  salary  cap.  Its  complicated  as  it  goes  on  income  which  is  different  for  each  club.

As I understand it, the salary cap limit for NL1 is, I believe, ?150,000 or 50% of your income up to a limit of ?400,000.  However, if it can be shown that your income is in excess of ?800,000 per annum, that salary cap level can be raised again.   So, if Cas have an income of, say, ?1,000,000 they could go up to 52.5% of that before they would break the rules and that would give them a salary cap of around ?525,000.

Obviously, it is in every clubs interests to have as much income as possible to get a benefit on the field.

Ok then, prove it, show me some facts and figures which prove Castleford have even come close to breaching their salary cap{which I would believe no one but them knows}because you`re getting tedious with all your accusations when you dont even know the facts.Heres a suggestion for you,try having a dig at your own B.O.D about player recruitment{or lack of} before having a go at others.

Why should we complain, where just saying the players you have signed and the quality of them players they must be demanding some wage and for the players you have signed back on won't be cheap either we where just suggesting you must be pretty close to your salary cap. As far as our BOD are concerned there looking out for the financial side of our club so atleast we are financially sound i am sure we will bring players in soon but there is plenty of time to sign players.
