Town centre traffic hold up.

Wife`s just got back from Tesco`s says it`s took her 25 minutes to get
off the car park.
This is due to road works on Church Street, by Brackenthwaite home and
North pub.
Traffic is diverted straight along George Street, then down Queen
Street coming out at the Three Tuns corner.

There has been no planning with that diversion, the police or the county council should have made it one way traffic with no street parking its another highways shambles in Whitehaven

Road has been closed since very late last night and not a hint of a workman anywhere near the blooming thing since then!  Absolute chaos in town today because of it
