 New investors give new imputus to clubs. Their finances will get sorted and fresh money will be ploughed in. Widnes are another example. From what I've read they've got a clean slate now and a millionaire backer. Tis the way of business. Also The franchises are coming. Teams want to impress the RFL with playing performances and crowd numbers. That's what I reckon anyways.
