Windy  Conditions  made  it  very  difficult  for both  sides  but  1st  half  we  were  very  lacklustre.  Keighley  played  some  good  stuff  and  I  was  very  impressed  with  their  N.14.

2nd  half  was  far  better  despite some  strange  decisions  by  Dawber.  Rudd  was  outstanding  but  the  Duffy  Finch  halfback  partnership  looks  very  impressive.

32-10  victory  was  about  right.

I thought we lacked a bit of go forward and creativity.  Rudd was decent though.

Jacksons injury is a disaster.  If he has broken his arm then we will be in trouble in the backs if we gwt any more injuries.  Not much cover in the backs at all.

yeah and rob was looking good in pre season, its bad luck if it is broken lets hope its just badly bruised. but shackley can play centre, scott macca can play centre plus makisi's immanant arrival hear first thing tommorrow.

fletcher is back next week. i thought edmundson and mcdonald gave us some go forward when they came on and jacko and fats second stints got us going aswell.

what was the attendance today

Attendance was given out as 1251

Thankfully Rob Jackson's arm is not broken.  JC gave out on radio post match that his arm wasn't broken, but there is tendon and ligament damage.

Thought we coped well today considering the appalling weather conditions.

We lacked some flair in the first half, but seemed to pull forward well in the second half.  Man of the Match for me was Graeme Mattinson, closely followed by Carl Rudd.    Although Spencer played well, I think maybe another week or two on the sidelines to allow his knee to fully recover.

Finch looks a nifty wee addition and he seems to pop up everywhere.  Ade Adebisi looked absolutely frozen to the bone!  Welcome to Whitehaven Mate!

All in all, a productive day at the office and long may it continue.

Given the appalling weather conditions, the official crowd of 1251 was reasonable.

Thought Finch, Rudd and Matty played really well today. Duffy didn't seem at the races.

Calvert & Adebisi will be awesome once the ground gets faster.

Eilbeck is playing for his position and on current form can't be dropped. McAvoy adjusted well, having to change his gameplan so early in the game.

All 4 Props excelled, and provided they stay healthy will give us a more than useful platform for the season, with Ford to come in for injuries or when McDonald gets banned!

Gary Broadbent was his usual dependable self, but needs to pass the ball more often, shame about Rob Jackson as he was in great form.

Hill gave his usual solid performance, as did Leroy. Don't think Leroy will get much gametime this year once Fletcher & Sice are back.

Big disappointment today was Spence. He was poor again, carrying over his performances from the second half of last season. If Crarey is true to his word and only picking form players, then Shackley MUST start ahead of Spence. If Fletcher is fit, would like to see him returning to the starting line-up and Shackley off the bench.

Good turnout given the freezing weather and icy wind.

Really looking forward to Worky next weekend.

dont know how you got edmundson as outstanding, i will give him the benifit of the doubt down to the weather and not fully fit

but in 3 periods on the pitch he took in about 8 balls in total, and was often to be seen standing behind the playmaker in the line and not in the line itself

must improve
